Announcing the Atelier26 Bonus Perks Program!

Seven days into the Atelier26 Books Next Big Chapter Campaign we’re at 11% funded and moving! Our sincerest thanks to all who have pledged in support of our publishing vision and the launch of Margaret Malone’s People Like You.

We’re publishing Margaret’s outstanding debut because we’re all about sharing the love of brilliant writing. Today we kick off our BONUS PERKS PROGRAM by putting on offer two unforgettable story collections that inspire us as writers and publishers!

Each week, beginning this Monday, August 10th, we’ll select by random drawing a BONUS PERK recipient! Every person who has pledged $15 or more since the campaign launch will be automatically entered in the drawing, and each week’s winner will receive, in addition to the official pledge perks, an exclusive no-extra-commitment gift!

This week we’ll draw TWO names from the hat. If you’ve pledged by the end of Sunday (8/9), you’ll be eligible to receive…
  • THE NIGHT, AND THE RAIN, AND THE RIVER, the phenomenal short story anthology featuring 22 Northwest writers, edited by Liz Prato, and published by Portland’s wondrous Forest Avenue Press last year. There’s no better compilation to capture the contemporary literary situation of the Pacific Northwest. You’ll read it cover to cover in a blink.
OR:
  • PRAYING DRUNK by Kyle Minor, the acclaimed short story collection published last year by the wonderful Sarabande Books, and winner of the Story Prize Spotlight Award. Genre-busting, from the gut, and moving in a hundred different ways, Minor’s book reminds us what literature is about.
MINIMUM PLEDGE $15
PLEDGE BY: 11:59 p.m. PST, Sunday, August 9th

We look forward to sharing many more good things in the coming days.

With gratitude for your enthusiastic support,
M. Allen Cunningham, Atelier26 Books

RECENT PRAISE FOR MARGARET MALONE’S PEOPLE LIKE YOU:
“Margaret Malone’s characters are like Miranda July’s without the financial resources: fiercely funny and keenly unhappy, and wanly persistent in their belief in their capacity to change even as they remain expert at observing, as if from afar, their own genius for self-sabotage. People Like You is wonderful on how much we need each other and let each other down, and how despite that and against all odds we grow into loving one another.” —JIM SHEPARD, author of The Book of Aron
